“Painting Without Limits: A Journey to Create and Break Boundaries”
This course is not for those seeking to create a perfect painting or follow a step-by-step manual. “Painting Without Limits” is an experience designed for those who want to explore painting from a place of absolute freedom, unafraid to break boundaries, experiment with new concepts, and expand their artistic limits.
Over 12 weeks, we’ll tackle themes and techniques that will take your skills to the next level: from using unusual colours and integrating three-dimensional objects to creating works that defy visual expectations. Each module is designed to help you explore colour, form, space, and even the use of external elements, turning your paintings into unique experiences that speak for themselves.
Here, you won’t just learn to paint; you’ll learn to find your own artistic language, to develop a powerful visual voice, and to use painting as a tool to express ideas, emotions, and perspectives. This course is a journey that breaks with artistic conventions, challenges you to transform each idea into something visually impactful, and invites you to discover all that painting can offer when you stop thinking about limits.
Ready to challenge the conventional and take your paintings to the next level? Welcome to a course where there’s only one rule: stay true to what you want to express, and don’t be afraid to show it.
This week isn’t about copying like a diligent student. No. We’re here to challenge the greats. Choose a famous work from art history, something that’s moved you, and reinterpret that piece.
This week isn’t just about making two pretty paintings that look good together. It’s about using the diptych as a tool to tell a story in two acts, to create tension, contrast, or dialogue that can’t be captured in a single piece.
This week we’re taking painting to a new level. It’s not about choosing a single theme or style; it’s about choosing several and making them all fit into one work. Portrait, landscape, still life, abstraction…
This week, the challenge is to explore a single motif to its fullest. It’s not enough to choose a theme and paint it; you have to push it to its limits and see how many versions you can create from the same concept.
This week we’re not just going to paint; we’re going to create and transform. The exercise involves building a collage using various materials—magazine clippings, photographs, paper, fabric, anything you like—to construct a complete composition, and then using that collage as a sketch for a painting.
This week, we’re going to break the rules of visual reality and reinvent the world through colour. The task is to choose any landscape—natural, urban, or otherwise—and change all of its natural colours to something unexpected and unconventional.
This is the final challenge of the course, and we’re not settling for a “normal” painting. This week, the goal is to break the barrier between painting and object, between the artwork and the space it inhabits.
